March 26: Quotation List & Free-Write due
Quotation List
Now that you’ve selected your topics, I’d like you to go through the texts you
are going to use and start assembling your textual evidence.
Please
submit to me Word document with a list of 25-30 quotations. These could range
from a phrase to a paragraph, but I do want you to re-type them into the
document (not just provide a citation). In addition to the list itself, I’d like
you to bold the 3 quotations that you think are the most crucial for your topic
and then italicize 3 that you’re not quite sure how they fit, but you think
they are relevant.
Free-write
Pretty
simple-sit down with your topic idea, quotation list, and then write for 2
hours. This is meant to be generative and exploratory, so don’t worry about
what I’ll think. This is time/space for you to explore your idea. Whatever you
have after sitting at the computer for 2 hours, send to me.
April 4 First Three Paragraphs
